Result Announcement of Kodansha's International Manga Competition.

Finally, the results of Kodansha's Morning International Manga Competition were announced today.

The Grand Winner : Kage no Matsuri by rem and bikkuri (USA)
The Second Winner : Nigiri Supahero by Liou Ming Law (UK)
The Second Winner : Vefurrin by Hwei Lim (Malaysia)

CONGURATULATIONS!

The grand prize winning work of the first competition will be published in issue #6 of "Morning 2," slated for mid-October. It will be the opening manga of the magazine, with the cover also drawn by the winner. Unfortunately, the magazine is only sold in Japan.

Our first full-scale international competition for manga, the "International Manga Competition," has received a phenomenal number of submissions from more than ten countries. We sincerely appreciate your enthusiasm and support.

Submissions for the second International Manga Competition are now being accepted. The dead line is December 31. Professional artists are also welcome to this competition. Besides manga, we accept all types of comics, including superhero comics, cartoons, and bandes dessine´es and so on.
